Information evening for local memorial initiatives and associations

Last week, local memorial initiatives and associations met at the House of Remembrance in St. Georgen an der Gusen to get an idea of the current developments surrounding the redesign of the Gusen Memorial.
Barbara Glück, Director of the Mauthausen Memorial, and Robert Vorberg, curator at the memorial and project manager, presented the participants with the extensive changes that have taken place in recent months since the presentation of the final report of the participation process.

In addition to an EU-wide design competition, for example, the current usage and visiting options for the former Gusen concentration camp are now being planned.

A further information event for the general public will take place on 10 April at 6 pm in the Langenstein municipal office, which can also be followed online.
A free tour of the recent archaeological excavations in Gusen can be taken at 4 pm.
