Start of the Second Phase of Workshop Formats in the Participation Process

April saw the continuation of participation formats with different stakeholders as part of the consultation on expanding the Gusen Memorial. During the first phase, the formats with different stakeholders such as local residents, national and international victim associations, and diplomatic representatives of the victim nations were run separately. Now the different groups were brought together. The workshop formats allowed groups to exchange ideas on an equal footing and different perspectives were discussed together. From this it became very clear that the different stakeholders share many of the same interests.

The next event in May will be a workshop format with international youth groups. All these findings will be analysed and will provide an important foundation for a final report with master plan. This will form the basis for planning the next steps in Gusen.
