Workshop with Local People and Residents of Langenstein and St. Georgen/Gusen

Another participation format in the process of expanding the Gusen Memorial took place on Saturday. Held at Langenstein Town Hall, the workshop gave local people and residents of Langenstein and St. Georgen/Gusen the opportunity to express their ideas, wishes and any doubts. Group work brought people together to contribute and discuss a whole range of viewpoints relating to the future Gusen Memorial.
Participants also had the chance to visit some of the newly acquired plots of land on the site of the former Gusen concentration camp.
At the end, the different concerns of residents and local people relating to the future of the memorial site were collated. This will be fed into the next steps in the Gusen Memorial participation process.
